Our team attended this year’s Adams & Adams 5th annual IP seminar at the Adams and Adams Head Office in Pretoria, South Africa from the 14th of September 2017 to the 15th of September 2017.The meeting brought together over 100 top IP practitioners in the region, Registrars, and administrators representing most territories on the continent.
Presentations on topical issues were made by various speakers dealing with matters ranging from developments in the African economy, the Madrid Protocol Procedures, latest developments at WIPO and at the European Patent Office. Our Managing Partner Miss Brenda Matanga was a panelist on the ARIPO’s Banjul Protocol on Trade Marks session in which she facilitated and imparted her extensive knowledge and experience in the use of this trademark applications system.
As we part of the Adams and Adams Africa Network and the Official Agent of choice in Zimbabwe for Adams and Adams, involvement and networking on regional and international arenas such as these, ensure that we are up to speed with the IP developments internationally and we have a full understanding of the IP landscape in Africa.
